A valve which may be used for the hydraulic control of an injection moulding machine comprises a rotor 3 rotatably mounted in a cylinder 1 and having control grooves 15, 16 co-operating with liquid inflow and outflow ports 21, 23 and 25, 26, the grooves 15, 16 communicating through longitudinal ducts 10, 11 with supply and exhaust ports 22, 28 respectively. The rotor which may be driven continuously at an adjustable speed or intermittently through a Geneva wheel, is mounted in needle bearings 8 with a clearance of 6À01 to 0À02 mm. from the inner wall of the valve easing 1. The grooves 15, 16 may be circumferentially offset with respect to each other so that there is a time delay between each fluid supply and exhaust operation, and there may be four or more ports to each set. |
