PURPOSE: A memo function executing method in a portable terminal and portable terminal applying the same are provided to execute a memo content display function according to kinds of a touch signal through a memo pointer. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a memo pointer. A control unit(180) distinguishes kinds of a touch event when the touch event is generated for the memo pointer. The control unit displays a memo input menu window or a memo by activating the memo input menu window and the memo according to a determination result. The control unit displays the stored memo by activating the memo according to a predetermined condition.
