The following invention relates to a serviceable transition connection for copper solder joint to a plastic solvent weld joint. The transition coupling or union comprises of a threaded female bronze or brass body fitting and a threaded male plastic fitting. The bronze or brass fitting has a bore which receives and retains the plastic male fitting with mating threads. The leading portion of the male plastic fitting has an annular grooved section designed to retain several removable annular rubber seals. These are designed to precede the threaded portion as it is received into the female brass or bronze fitting. The brass or bronze fitting contains a portion of the bore which deforms the rubber o-rings, creating a liquid tight, thermally dynamic seal. The invention permits a liquid tight seal without the need for further torsion beyond the threaded portion meeting its termination; meaning minimal torque is required to complete its junction.
