PURPOSE: An automatic tool changer is provided to prevent damage to a changer arm, a clamp block, and a tool holder by preventing the clamp block from touching the tool holder until the changer arm clamps the tool holder. CONSTITUTION: An automatic tool charger comprises a clamp block(21), a drive shaft(7), and drive units(22,23,24,25,26,28,29). The clamp block is installed on a changer arm(3) and clamps or unclamps a tool holder(H) with a clamping unit. The clamp block is opened at a position where the changer arm does not clamp the tool holder and is closed at a position where the changer arm clamps the tool holder. The drive shaft is arranged inside an output shaft(2) and is moved forward and backward. The drive units open and close the clamp block using the forward and backward movement of the drive shaft. |
