A combination optical element of the present invention is provided with: a first optical element for condensing light from one direction on an illumination plane; and a second optical element for condensing light from a different direction. Incidence faces of the first optical element and the second optical element are disposed overlapping in the same plane, and an exposure face is formed by the overlapping section only. As a result, it is possible to illuminate an illumination face of a photographic subject with a small amount of emitted light without illuminating unnecessary sections.
