PURPOSE: A silicon metal manufacturing process based on silica is provided to implement manufacturing processes using low energy and to prevent the generation of harmful components. CONSTITUTION: Silica is crushed based with a jaw crusher. The primarily crushed silica is milled into particulate using a hammer mill. The secondarily milled silica is separated into particles of uniform diameter based on a rotating drum screen. Impurities are washed from the separated particles. The washed particles are dried using a microwave-based drying furnace. The dried particles are mixed with a reducing agent. The mixed material is vertically dropped and is successively heated using multiple frequency microwaves. While heating, the material is liquefied and is reacted using a high frequency DC arc. The reacted liquefied material is refined. |
