PURPOSE: An optical module is provided to enhance effectiveness and profitability by forming a lighting system having an LED capable of appropriately radiating heat. CONSTITUTION: An optical module(210) comprises an optical engine which includes an LED package having an electricity terminal. The LED package comprises a substrate having a diode and a plurality of power terminals on the surface. A base ring assembly maintains the optical engine. The base ring assembly comprises a base ring which is installed to a supporting structure. The base ring assembly comprises a contact holder which maintains electricity contact. The electricity contact is spring-biased about the power terminal in order to create separable power connection with the power terminal. A top cover assembly is combined to the base ring. The top cover assembly comprises a collar surrounding the base ring.
