PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving the oil heater of a binding machine is provided to reduce power dissipation by preventing useless operations since an oil heater is not driven while an oil fan cooler operates. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving the oil heater of a binding machine comprises an operating switch(10), a thermostatic switch(30) and an anti-overheating switch(20). The operating switch controls the power, which is supplied to an oil heater(40) for heating the oil of the binding machine. The thermostatic switch is serially connected to the operating switch and controls the power, which is supplied to the oil heater, according to the temperature of the oil heater. The anti-overheating switch is serially connected to the thermostatic switch and controls the power, which is supplied to the oil heater by a fan-cooler signal for driving an oil fan-cooler(50). The thermostatic switch uses bimetal. The anti-overheating switch is a relay switch. The relay switch is blocked if the fan-cooler signal is applied.
