The invention enables a database management method for efficient updating of master nodes while structuring the master nodes hierarchically. A lower rank master node sends to a higher rank master node a write set comprising a shadow copy of the database of said lower rank master node and a heap tuple map of the memory of said lower rank master node, and the higher rank master node that receives this write set checks whether or not the update has already been implemented and returns to the lower rank master node a transaction log that consists of this update record, making possible the database to be efficiently updated from a lower rank master node to a higher rank master node, and further from the higher rank master node to all lower rank master nodes without conflict. |
