PURPOSE: A display device capable of controlling a viewing angle and a driving method thereof are provided to perform a security function by protecting the privacy or information of a user without including a separate interference pixel or a dual display panel. CONSTITUTION: An image mixing part(50) mixes an original image data signal and a protection image data signal. The image mixing part creates a mixed image data signal. An output image selection part(60) selects an image data signal corresponding to an image. The image is outputted on a display panel(10). The display panel receives a data voltage corresponding to the image data signal. The display panel displays the original image or a mixed image.
