PURPOSE: A speed reducer of an electric power assistance steering apparatus is provided to keep a worm shaft in the center position regardless of the direction of the delivered load in case of the load transferred to a worm shaft bearing from the worm shaft, and prevent a shaft support part from the deformation and detaching due to the eccentricity of the worm shaft or one sided weight by generating the supporting power for the worm shaft to be kept in center axis. CONSTITUTION: A speed reducer(200) of an electric power assistance steering apparatus comprises a worm shaft(104), a worm shaft supporting member(210), and a worm shaft guide(205). The worm shaft comprises a worm shaft groove(203) formed into the columnar direction in the outer circumference in which the worm shaft bearing(106) is coupled. The worm shaft supporting member comprising a hole in one side is coupled with a worm shaft groove for preventing the worm shaft bearing form detaching. The worm shaft guide comprises an axial guide(205a) and a radial direction guide(205b) and coupled between the worm shaft bearing and the worm shaft. The radial guide is coupled between the worm shaft bearing and the worm shaft supporting member.
