PURPOSE: An input device having a touch panel and a contact location detection method thereof are provided to calculate a coordinate of a contact location by calculating a weighted geometric center of clusters. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel(10) outputs a measurement value according to a contact location of a contact object. A contact location detection unit(30) generates a row frame based on the measurement value and clusters based on a cell having the maximum value in the row frame. The contact location detection unit calculates a coordinate of a contact location about the clusters.
