The device has a heat exchanger (3) for transmitting heat energy of exhaust air flow to supply air flow. An exhaust air blower (6) conveys the exhaust air flow from an inner area to an outer side of a building through the heat exchanger. A supply air blower (7) conveys the supply air flow from the building outer side to the inner area. A supply air flow heating device is designed as an inclined surface at an external heating device. The surface receives the supply air flow at the external heating device, and lies at an end of a cross-beam of a T-shaped configuration of a housing (13).
