A hairpiece 100 has a loop that is configured to be worn around part of a wearers head, the loop comprising a curtain-like weft of hair 104 and a filament 102 connecting opposed sides of the weft, wherein the loop has an adjustable circumferential length. The filament may be a plastics polymer-based filament. The loop preferably comprises a circumferential length adjustment means 106A, 106B connected between the filament and a side 104A, 104B of the weft. The adjustment means may comprise a resiliently deformable adjuster 112A, 112B or a slideable adjuster 114A, 114B configured to slidably and frictionally engage with a thread-like member or both. The slidable adjuster may comprise an adjuster body (114A, figure 3A) comprising an outer tube (116) lined by a resiliently deformable tubular liner (118). The outer tube is preferably a malleable metal or plastics tube and the tubular liner is preferably a silicone rubber tubular liner.
