PURPOSE: A relief valve for a heavy construction equipment vehicle is provided to support a pilot poppet of a relief valve by using a spring seat and to maintain concentricity for the pilot poppet and a spring by forming a supported surface of the pilot poppet on which the spring seat contacts into a rectangular cross section. CONSTITUTION: A relief valve for a heavy construction equipment vehicle comprises a main body(100), a housing(110), a pilot spring(120), a spring seat(130), a pilot poppet(140), a pilot seat(150), a main poppet(160), a supporting spring(170), and a balance piston(180). The main body has a high pressure chamber(102) and a low pressure chamber(104). The housing is coupled to the main body. The pilot spring is arranged in a left space of the housing. The spring seat is supported by the right end of the pilot spring. The left surface of the pilot poppet is formed into a rectangular cross section(142). The pilot seat is coupled to the right end of the pilot poppet. The main poppet opens and closes the low pressure chamber. The supporting spring is arranged between the right side of the pilot seat and the left side of the main poppet to be elastically supported. The balance piston is mounted on the center part of the main poppet.
