PURPOSE: An oil and water separating apparatus is provided to improve the durability of the apapratus to facilitate manufacturing and installing processes. CONSTITUTION: An oil and water separating apparatus includes a ring-shaped tube belt(120), a rotary motor, a belt guide(140), and an oil eliminating ring(150). The tube belt is extended underwater from the body(110) of the apparatus. Oil on the surface of water adheres to the tube belt. The rotary motor is mounted in the body of the apparatus and circulates the tube belt between the body of the apparatus and the water. The belt guide includes a first belt pulley, a roller(142), and a second belt pulley. The first belt pulley is horizontally installed on the upper side of the body of the apparatus. The roller is installed at the end of the body. The second belt pulley is vertically installed in the water. The belt guide guides the circulation of the tube belt to be guided from the first belt pulley to the roller and be fastened to the second belt pulley. The oil eliminating ring is adjacently arranged by the surface of the tube belt which is returned from the water.
