Provided is a terminal containing section (14) for an electrical junction box (10) configured to position and hold a tapered connecting terminal (56) stably without deteriorating a connecting operation. The terminal containing section is provided on its inner surfaces with a plurality of outer ribs (24a - 24e) and side ribs (50a, 50b) that protrude from the inner surfaces and extend in an inserting direction of a connecting terminal. Protruding dimensions of the outer ribs (24a - 24e) gradually increases as the outer ribs (24a - 24e) extend to a distal end side of the connecting terminal. The outer ribs (24a - 24e) pinch the connecting terminal (56) from both its outer sides in a first direction of a pair of pinching pieces (66) of the connecting terminal while the side ribs (50a, 50b) pinch the connecting terminal from its both outer sides in a direction perpendicular to the first direction, thereby positioning the connecting terminal (56) in the terminal containing section (14). Provided is furthermore an electrical junction box (10) having at least one such terminal containing section (14).
