<p>PURPOSE: A method for regenerating wasted crosslinked high density polyethylene is provided to reduce cost required for de-crosslanking reaction using supercritical methanol as a reaction solvent. CONSTITUTION: Wasted crosslinked high density polyethylene-based pipe is converted into a remoldable high density polyethylene based resin by a decrosslinking reaction for 5 to 10 minutes using supercritical methanol as a reaction solvent under 370 to 390 degrees Celsius of reaction temperature and 5 and 30MPa of reaction pressure. The supercritical methanol is supercritical fluid with 32.04g/mol of molecular weight. The supercritical methanol has 512.6 degree Celsius of critical temperature and 8.09MPa of critical pressure, measured by a pressure gauge(A).</p> |
