PURPOSE: A safety nail clipper for children is provided to cut fingernails without hurting the contacting skin, and to prevent cut nail particles from hurting the children. CONSTITUTION: A safety nail clipper for children comprises the following: an upper cutting plate(11) and a lower cutting plate(12) with sharp cutting blades on one ends; and an upper protective plate(21) and a lower protective plate with dull protective blades on one end and the elasticity. The ends of the protective plates are contacting the outer surface of the cutting plates. The protective plates include openings.
