PURPOSE: A method for analyzing harmfulness of toxic materials using C. Elegans is provided to simply screen a large amount of toxic harmful materials. CONSTITUTION: A method for analyzing harmfulness of toxic materials using C. Elegans comprises: a step of exposing C. Elegans to toxic materials to measure physiological toxicity effect; a step of measuring expression level of a stress gene group and screening a relating gene; a step of statistically analyzing physiological toxicity effect and stress gene expression level and selecting a gene with significant correlation; a step of preparing function reducing tranformant or mutant ; a step of analyzing the difference with wild species; a step of selecting selected gene using a biomarker to the toxic materials; and a step of detecting the toxic material using the biomarker.
