A) Cpds. of general formulae (I) and (II): R1 and R3=H, Me or Et R2=H, F, Cl, or Br R4 = Me or Et. B) Salts of I. Analgesics, antipyretics, and antiphlogistics Dose 50-3000 mg/d. (P-Nitrosophenyl)acetic acid ethyl ester (56.0 g), and butadiene (50 ml) were stirred 30 hr. at 0 deg. in CHCl3, concd. at 20 deg./10 mm, and recryst. from 3:2-pet. spirit (b.p 50 deg.)-Et2O (550 ml) at -25 deg., giving IV; m.p 32-4 deg. This (1.0 g) was refluxed 5 d in EtCO2H (2.5 ml) and PhMe (7.5 ml), evapd. at 10 mm, and sublimed at 200 deg. for 1 hr. The sublimate was refluxed 1 hr. with N-NaOH (5.2 ml) and EtOH (5 ml), cooled, 0.57 N-HCl (13.6 ml) added, filtered, washed, and dried, giving I, m.p 180-2 deg. |
