The invention relates to a vibration motor supplied with voltage at industrial frequency and provided with the possibility of reversing the sense of rotation and changing the rotation speed. According to the invention, the vibration motor mainly comprises a rotor (1) fixed on a vertical rotor shaft (2) which is frictionally driven into a rotation motion by an electromagnetic vibrator comprising, in its turn, an electromagnet (3) which, by means of an alternating electromagnetic field, acts upon a vibrating plate (4) made of a ferromagnetic material and provided at its free end with one or several rolled plates (5) which are in contact with the front surface of the rotor (1), the elements forming the electromagnetic vibrator being fixed on a support (6) which slides along a guide (7) and is moved in diametral direction on the front surface of the rotor by means of a driving screw (8) driven by means of a crank (8').
