PURPOSE: An oil separator is provided to rapidly and stably separate oil and water mixed liquid into oil and separated water in a main storing tank by alleviating the pressure of the oil and water mixed liquid and supplying the pressure alleviated liquid into the main storing tank. CONSTITUTION: An oil separator includes a main storing tank(100), a pressure alleviating unit(400), an oil collecting tank(200), and a filtering tank(300). The pressure alleviating unit alleviates the pressure of oil and water mixed liquid and supplies the pressure alleviated liquid into the main storing tank. The oil collecting tank is in connection with an oil discharging port(110) through an oil discharging hose such that oil discharged through the oil discharging port is stored in the main storing tank. The filtering tank is in connection with a separated water discharging port through a separated water discharging hose such that the discharged separated water is introduced into the main storing tank. A plurality of filters is installed in the filtering tank. The oil collecting tank and the filtering tank are arranged at the external side of the main storing tank. |
