<p>The invention relates to a composition for making carpentry profiles and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composition comprises 100 parts of polyvinyl chloride as powder, 4...5 parts of thermal stabilizers of the zinc, calcium and calcium carbonate type, 6...9 parts of lime-spar, 4...5 parts of titanium dioxide and 5...6 parts of zinc and calcium carbonate mixture, the parts being expressed by weight. The process claimed by the invention consists in mixing together the starting materials within a mixer, at a temperature of 120°C, the resulting paste being cooled down to a temperature of 45°C and maintained for 8 h, thereby resulting a composition having extrusion-suitable physical-chemical properties and behaviour.</p> |
