PURPOSE: An electric bicycle and method for driving the same is provided to control charging/discharging of battery and to improve the riding quality of passenger by automatically diversifying a driving mode of the electric bicycle. CONSTITUTION: An electric bicycle includes a power supply unit(600), a power generation type electric motors, and a sensing means(1100) and a control box. The power supply unit is installed to the front frame(100). The power supply unit supplies electric force. The power generation type electric motor is installed to the rear frame(200). The power generation type electric motor generates torque to a pair of rear wheels. The power generation type electric motor charges the power supply unit by using rotation of the rear wheel. The control box controls pressure, slope and speed of the electric bicycle according to output of the sensing means. The control box controls torque by a pair of power generation type electric motors. The control box controls charging/discharging of the power supply unit. |
