The invention relates to an anti-skid chain (GKE) comprising a chain mesh (LAU), which when fitted runs between an interior retaining element (HAL) that lies on an interior lateral side (ISE) of a tyre (REI) and a lateral chain (SST) that lies essentially on an exterior lateral side (ASE) of the tyre (REI). The anti-skid chain is secured on the exterior (AUS) of the tyre (REI) by at least one tensioning strand (SPS) that is connected to a tensioning element (SPE) and the tensioning strand (SPS) is deflected by a deflection element (UME) through an angle (a) of at least 90 DEG . A deflected end region (END) of the tensioning strand (SPS), facing away from the tensioning element (SPE), is connected to the lateral chain (STS) and/or the chain mesh (LAU), whereby a section of the tensioning strand, running between the tensioning element(s) (SPE) and the deflection element (UME) is guided in at least one guide element (FUE) that is connected to the lateral chain (SST). |
