The generator (10) has a hollow central electrode (12) comprising a hollow radiating unit (18) at a front side of the electrode. An external electrode (14) coaxially surrounds the central electrode along an axially extending resonator section (16). The central and the external electrodes define a spark gap (36), and are connected to a high voltage source (38), which is arranged within the hollow central electrode. The source has an electrical power supply device (42) arranged in the radiating unit. |
