FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to injection method of supersonic oxygen jets to the melt in metallurgical furnace. Method involves introduction of oxygen and fuel to one or more nozzles provided with channels with convergent-divergent configuration, in flow conditions with supercritical pressure drop in order to form supersonic jets leaving those channels. Fuel is injected in internal circumferential sections of channels so that the structure that has external peripheral area containing fuel mixed with oxygen and central area containing mainly oxygen can be given to the discharged jets. When being discharged, such structured jet interacts with furnace atmosphere, thus creating external zone of shift mixing, in which external peripheral layer is mixed with heated furnace atmosphere and self-ignited, thus forming flame envelope enveloping supersonic oxygen jet. The above oxygen jet and flame envelope can be directed to the melt contained inside metallurgical furnace for injection of oxygen to that melt. ^ EFFECT: use of invention ensures increase in service life of tuyere and reduces the risk of cooling water penetration to furnace. ^ 10 cl, 16 dwg |
