PURPOSE: An electronic device and a method for automatically configuring menu are provided to offer a customized menu for a user. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(190) confirms whether a year has been changed. When a year has been changed, the control unit generates a year page indicating the previous year. The control unit combines a menu object of the previous year with a generated year page. A storage unit(180) stores the generated year page and the menu object combined to the generated year page. The control unit confirms whether a menu mode command is detected. When the menu mode command is detected, the control unit displays at least one year page.
