METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC REGULATION OF THE BORON CONCENTRATION IN THE COOLANT OF A PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for automatic regulation of boron concentration in the coolant of a pressurized water reactor are provided to facilitate the calculation and manipulation of an operation source by automatically controlling the injection of deionized water into the coolant. CONSTITUTION: The accumulation burnup of a core is calculated during a core cycle(31). The current boron concentration value is calculated by a boron concentration value measured by a boron concentration instrument and a correction factor(32). The goal boron concentration value is calculated with a reference list of a threshold boron concentration-core cycle burnup(33). The deionized water injection amount and flow rate are calculated with the goal boron concentration value and the reference list of the deionized water injection amount-boron concentration saved in a calculation unit(36). The operating procedure of timer flag operation according to the exact inject time is executed(35). The deionized water injection amount and flow rate are transmitted to an output card part.
