PURPOSE: A display device of a terminal and a method thereof are provided to recognize the eye direction of a user and adaptively change a display pattern on the display device. CONSTITUTION: An eye direction detecting unit(120) detects an eye direction. A direction detecting unit(130) detects a display direction of a display unit. A control unit(140) determines an angle difference beyond a threshold value between the eye direction detected in the eye direction detecting unit and the display direction detected in the direction detecting unit. The control unit displays a displayed part with a longer distance from eyes of a user bigger than a displayed part with a short distance in the display unit to give perspective to the display.
