<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a length restriction of a feed channel caused by inaccessibility of the most distant region from a melt end of the path to the path for an insertion of an ink stick in a configuration of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An ink stick retractor 204 is configured to move between a forward position and a rearward position substantially parallel to at least a portion of the at least one feed channel 18. The forward position is closer to the second end portion of the feeding channel 18 than the first position.
