<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required and cost in renewal construction of a piping passage. <P>SOLUTION: A pipe body 10, in which branch ports 3 are punched in advance, is disposed in a piping passage 1 to constitute the piping passage in such a way that a plurality of branch ports 3 exist as a whole of the piping passage 1. A branch port 3 whose position along the longitudinal direction of the piping passage is closest to the construction position of an existing branch pipe 34 is selected and a branch valve 22 is attached to the selected branch port 3. Then, the branch pipe 34 is connected to the branch valve 22 to branch the piping passage 1.
