The machine has a rotatable brush plate (4) concentrically arranged in a horizontal sorting bar (5). Sorting apertures (53) are introduced to adjust dimensions to size of coins (3). An upper surface of a conveyor plate (1) is aligned with a sorting surface (52). The conveyor plate is projected into the sorting surface, and comprises a section complementary to the conveyor plate at points. The brush plate holds an edge-continuous conveyor brush row (41) for brushing the conveyor plate. A sorting brush row (42) is concentric to the conveyor plate and limited to the sorting surface.
