SELF PROPELLED PALLET STACKERS

A self propelled pallet stacker comprising a traction unit having c pair of rear ground engaging wheels, one rear wheel being mounted on each side of the traction unit; and a lift mechanism, the lift mechanism having a pair of foot members extending forwardly of the lift mechanism in spaced apart relationship, a front ground engaging wheel being mounted on each of the foot members adjacent a front end of the foot member for rotation about a fixed horizontal axis, a pair of ground engaging castor wheels being mounted adjacent a rear end of the lift mechanism one on either side of the lift mechanism and a pair of lifting forks extending forwardly of the lift mechanism by which a pallet mounted on the forks may be moved vertically; the lift mechanism being connected to the traction unit by means of a vertically extending pivot, one end of the pivot being secured to the lift mechanism by a universal coupling at a position between the front ground engaging wheels and the ground engaging caster wheels and means for rotating the lift mechanism about the vertically extending pivot relative to the traction unit, to steer the pallet stacker.
