<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that each part of a heat pump water heater resonates for a fixed time. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater 1 includes an outside air temperature sensor 111 measuring an outside air temperature, a compressor 211 variable in operating frequency, and a controller 100 for controlling the compressor 211. The controller 100 sets a desirable operating frequency (a target frequency) of the compressor 211 based on the outside air temperature obtained from the outside air temperature sensor 111, an inflow water temperature obtained from an inflow water temperature sensor 113 or the outside air temperature estimated from a water supply (city water) temperature supplied into a tank, and stops a rise in the operating frequency of the compressor 211 for a prescribed time at least at one predetermined intermediate frequency when the operating frequency of the compressor 211 is raised from the present frequency to the target frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
