<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe coupling device that can be brought into close contact with an outer circumference of a fluid pipe with a sufficient force. <P>SOLUTION: A ring 5 is configured of an ring-shaped elastic member having elasticity for close contact between the ring 5 and a socket 3a and between the ring 5 and an outer circumference 2a of the fluid pipe 2. The cross section of a ring part 5a including a pipe axis of the ring 5 arranged at the tip of the socket 3a has a long diameter L1 and a short diameter L2. When the long diameter L1 inclined toward the pipe axis C is pressed by a presser 4, the ring is elastically deformed toward the pipe axis C to reduce the inner diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
