<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in the characteristics upon mass production of phosphors to be subjected to high temperature firing, to reduce variation in the phosphor characteristics in the same firing lot, and also to reduce the using amount of energy. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing phosphors, phosphor raw materials are superheated and fired at ≥1,700°C while introducing a heated atmospheric gas into a furnace, wherein the heating is performed by carrying out heat exchange at the inside of a heat insulating material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
