<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, if a flexible flat cable is bent involving a part of the flexible flat cable, a carriage comes into contact with the bent portion of the flexible flat cable to be locked up. <P>SOLUTION: This image scanner includes: a flexible flat cable 14 that has a folding part having a curved shape curved in the moving direction D1 of a carriage 9 in the interior of a housing, with the curved shape in the folding part being changed with reciprocation of the carriage; and a fixing part 13 for fixing an image scanner side of the flexible flat cable 14 to the carriage 9. The fixing part 13 is formed with slope surfaces 51a and 51b, or surfaces bent in a direction D2 crossing with the moving direction D1 of the carriage 9, and the flexible flat cable 14 comes into contact with the slope surfaces 51a and 51b to be fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
