<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit which is capable of providing a higher precision and/or a higher scan speed, and an associated method. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit is disclosed which scans a pressure or power responsive sensor array. A pressure sensor or a power sensor formed from an array of pressure or power responsive sensor elements is used to obtain a pressure measurement or a power measurement in response to load application. The control circuit samples signals from the sensor elements to detect pressure or power in one or more sensor elements of the sensor array. The circuit in the present claims is capable of providing a relatively higher scan speed. A user is allowed to define one or more subsets to be scan targets for sensor elements of the sensor array.
