<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress power consumption in a digital camera which has a camera shake correction function and from which a monitor is detachable. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 includes a camera body 11 and a monitor device 12 detachable from the camera body 11. When the monitor device 12 is mounted on the camera body 11, the camera body 11 is connected to the monitor device 12 via connectors 13. The camera body 11 and the monitor device 12 respectively include radio controllers 14, 15. It is determined whether the monitor device 12 is mounted on the camera body 11 or not, based on the attachment/detachment of the connectors 13, thereby to stop, in the case of detachment, power supply to a vibration-proof drive circuit 26 arranged in the camera body 11.
