摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle having a high yield and opacity-improvement effect and a low degree of wire abrasion, even when using a particle having a broad particle size distribution and being amorphous; and in addition, a manufacturing method of such a composite particle, a composite particle-filled paper filled with this composite particle, and a coated paper whose coating layer contains this composite particle. <P>SOLUTION: A composite particle where at least some of the surface of a calcium carbonate particle is coated with silica is characterized in that the average particle diameter is 2 &mu;m or more and 15 &mu;m or less and the frequency ratio of the particle accounting the most frequent value in a particle size distribution measured by log-dividing the range of 0.021 &mu;m to 2,000 &mu;m into 132 is 3% or more and 12% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
