<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable compound containing liquid crystal composition, in which liquid crystal alignment restraining force after polymerization is high, and which does not generate fault in display characteristics of burning or the like; and further to provide a liquid crystal display element in which the polymerizable compound containing liquid crystal composition is polymerized, thereby liquid crystal alignment capability is given and display performance is excellent. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerizable compound containing liquid crystal composition includes: one sort or two sorts or more of a compound expressed by general formula (I) as the first component; one sort or two sorts or more of a compound expressed by general formula (II) as the second component; and one sort or two sorts or more of a polymerizable compound expressed by general formula (III) as the third component. Further, the liquid crystal display element using the liquid crystal composition is disclosed.
