<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle bumper which is manufactured with small manufacturing man-hours, and capable of unifying an energy absorption amount over an extensive range along the vehicle width direction. <P>SOLUTION: A bumper absorber 9 has a squared C-shaped cross section constituted of: a vertical surface which extends in the vertical direction and along the vehicle width direction; and an upper surface 12 and a lower surface which extend backwardly from upper and lower ends of the vertical surface. The bumper absorber 9 is configured in such a manner that the upper surface 12 and the lower surface are supported by a bumper reinforcement 10 through a plurality of mounting members 23-27, and the pitch of the mounting members adjacent to each other in the vehicle width direction is set so as to decrease from each end 9b in the vehicle width direction toward the center 9a thereof in the vehicle width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
