<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a creasing process while securing high productivity, and improve the quality of folding process thereafter. <P>SOLUTION: The creasing apparatus A performing the creasing process on a sheet of paper includes a first conveying path H1 provided with a creasing mechanism C performing the creasing process on the sheet of paper conveyed thereto, and a second conveying path H2 conveying the sheet of paper conveyed thereto to the downstream side without performing any process. When the sheet is conveyed to the first conveying path H1 and undergoes the creasing process by the creasing mechanism C, subsequent sheets are conveyed to the downstream side from the second conveying path H2, and are collected on a processing tray 10.
