SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DETECTING ACTUATION VOLTAGE AND RELEASING VOLTAGE OF INTERFERENCE MODULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining one or both of actuation voltage and releasing voltage of a microelectromechanical device.

SOLUTION: The method includes applying of at least two different potentials to at least one electrode connected to a device and detecting at least one electrical response of the device on at least two different potentials. Based on determining of at least a partial state, one or both of actuation voltage and releasing voltage is determined. The device is a part of a system that includes an array of interference modulators suitable for display. This method is used for compensating for temperature dependent changes in display pixel characteristics.
