<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining an excellent fixing state for both of a case where toner is formed as a single layer on a recording material and a case where toner is formed as multilayer and satisfying energy saving and high-quality image. <P>SOLUTION: A toner temperature when P(t)/η(t) becomes maximum is T3(°C) and pressure applied when the toner temperature reaches T3(°C) is P3(kgf/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>) when pressure applied when toner reaches a softening point temperature T1(°C) is P1(kgf/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>), pressure applied when toner reaches an outflow start temperature T2 (°C) is P2(kgf/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>), melt viscosity of toner when a temperature reaches a temperature t(°C) higher than the outflow start temperature is η(t)(Pa s), and pressure applied when a temperature reaches a temperature t (°C) higher than the outflow start temperature is P(t)(kgfcm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>). At the time, a fixing device satisfies the following relational expression: 0.3<P1/(P1+P2+P3), 0.3<P2/(P1+P2+P3) and 0.2<P3/(P1+P2+P3)<0.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
