<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device capable of preventing the occurrence of tilting when driving the lens, having reduced number of components and cost, and miniaturizing the size. <P>SOLUTION: A base 10 is formed with a projection 13 having a hook-shaped cross section. A holder 40 is formed with a rotation inhibitor 43 which comes into contact with the projection 13 of the base 10. The holder 40 is supported to the base 10 by one shaft 60. A magnetic plate 31 is disposed to separate from the shaft 60 with respect to the center of a magnet 51. A magnetic plate 32 is disposed to approach to the shaft 60 with respect to the center of a magnet 52. The magnetic forces generated between the magnetic plates 31 and 32 and the magnets 51 and 52 make the holder 40 subjected to a torque, with the shaft 60 defined as an axis.
