A method and apparatus for auctioning the time of an individual. The method includes the steps of receiving from an individual a desired set of characteristics. The desired set of characteristics includes at least an indication of one or more periods of time during which the individual is available to receive content, a minimum charge for receiving the content, and a method by which the individual wishes to receive the content. The desired set of characteristics indicated by the individual is presented in the form of an auction. A bid is received from one or more bidder to present content to the individual in accordance with the desired set of characteristics. An agreement n received from the individual to receive the presented content at the bid price. |
