BLOCKING PLUG FOR TAP HOLE, MUD GUN, AND METHOD FOR BLOCKING THE TAP HOLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for blocking a tap hole capable of easily opening a tap hole at a later time while preventing the damage of the tap hole.

SOLUTION: The method for blocking the tap hole blocks the tap hole which is formed to extend in the direction penetrating a furnace wall of a blast furnace by a mud material. The method includes: a setup step S1 in which at least a part of the blocking plug that is set smaller in outer diameter than the inner diameter of the tap hole and formed nearly bar-shaped is disposed on a supply flow route of the mud material; and a filling step S2 in which the mud material is supplied inside the tap hole in a controlled feed rate and the whole circumference between the outer peripheral surface of the blocking plug and inner peripheral surface of the tap hole is filled with the mud material.
